A psychodynamic, trauma-sensitive approach

Relationships carry histories.
Healing can create
something new.

My work with couples is grounded in psychodynamic theory and emotionally-focused couples therapy and sex therapy, while also drawing on attachment, trauma-sensitive, and culturally aware perspectives.

Together, we explore the unconscious patterns, early

relational experiences, and cultural and gendered messages that shape how you relate to each other, including around sexuality, desire, and intimacy. This deeper understanding

can create new possibilities for connection, repair and lasting change.

Couples therapy can help if you're experiencing:

  • Recurring conflict, repeating the same arguments or feeling stuck

  • Emotional distance or disconnection

  • Push / Withdraw, or Pursue - Withdraw dynamics

  • Differences in sexual desire or intimacy

  • Relationship changes after pregnancy, postpartum and parenting

  • Infidelity or rebuilding trust

  • Challenges with communication

  • Changes after becoming parents

  • Navigating cultural, family or religious differences
